Federal Incentives
Program Status: Inactive for Tesla vehicles
As of January 10, 2025, Tesla vehicles are no longer eligible for the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program due to changes in their base models' pricing .
How it works:
- Purchase an eligible Tesla model.
- Tesla submits the incentive application on your behalf at point-of-sale.
- Tesla deducts the value of the incentive from the final vehicle price before taxes.
- The government reimburses Tesla for the incentive amount.

Provincial Incentives
Ontario
Currently, Ontario does not offer provincial incentives for electric vehicles. The program was cancelled in 2018.
