Federal Incentives
Program Status: Closed
The federal iZEV program for light-duty zero-emission vehicles paused on January 12, 2025 due to funding exhaustion and is closed. No active point-of-sale incentives available for individuals or businesses on December 31, 2025. Businesses may access enhanced capital cost allowances (up to 75% of $61,000 for vehicles acquired between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025), but this is a tax deduction, not a rebate.
How it works:
- Purchase an eligible Tesla model.
- Tesla submits the incentive application on your behalf at point-of-sale.
- Tesla deducts the value of the incentive from the final vehicle price before taxes.

Ontario
Currently, Ontario does not offer provincial incentives for electric vehicles. The program was cancelled in 2018.
